Why I'm running
As a Democrat running for Tennessee State House, I'm running for everyday people - those who keep our state going, and those working hard to get ahead. I'm running for a Tennessee where everyone has a chance to build the life that they want to live. I believe in a stronger Tennessee, and I believe that we can get there together.

Healthcare
- Provide health insurance coverage to more Tennesseans and support our hospitals by expanding Medicaid
- Prioritize prevention and early intervention measures
- Pass safe staffing laws to support healthcare workers and create safer and better healthcare environments
- Coordinated state response to addiction and the systemic issues behind it
Housing
- Prioritize affordable housing; utilizing builder incentive programs and working with local governments
- Fight corporate influence in local housing markets
- Coordinated statewide response to homelessness; providing structure, guidance, and support to local governments
- End harmful policies that criminalize homelessness
DCS
- System-wide reform; thorough investigation and focus on improving staffing structure
- Prioritize mental healthcare for children and youth
- Strengthen and empower families to keep children safe and supported
- Support youth aging out of foster care with resources for education, housing, employment, and mental health
Data Centers
- Strict state regulations to protect people and the environment
- Clear shutdown authority when facilities are in violation of regulations
- Allow local governments to ban data centers without fear of retaliation
Freedom
- Ban flock cameras + all other forms of AI mass surveillance
- Legalize THC
Where I stand on other issues
School Vouchers
Our tax revenue belongs to our public schools which are open to every child; not private schools which have the right to deny enrollment.
Reproductive Rights
Women should have access to the full range of reproductive healthcare, including comprehensive prenatal care, postpartum care, and abortion services. Access to healthcare should be timely, local, and free from unnecessary barriers. And physicians should be able to confidently practice medicine without fear of litigation or even criminal charges.
LGBTQ+ Rights
I oppose any sort of barriers or discrimination against members of the LGBTQ+ community. Trans rights are human rights. Equality for all - race, sex, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity - is important to me. Trans people should be able to access gender-affirming care without privacy concerns or fear of retaliation from the government. Medical providers should be able to freely practice medical gender-affirming care for adults without fear of retaliation from the government.
Immigration
I, as most Americans do, want a secure border. I do not believe that simply being undocumented makes a person a threat or justifies punishment. People who are living and working here safely should have a pathway to lawful status. Our immigration system needs considerable reform, and ICE is a dangerous agency responsible for human rights abuses and deaths. Tennessee should not participate in enforcement activities beyond what is federally mandated.
Firearms
I support common sense gun laws that promote public safety and provide accountability for responsible owners. I believe if something is important, like our right to bear arms, we are to keep it above reproach. That means measures like universal background checks, safety training prior to purchasing a firearm, safe storage requirements, and mandatory reporting of stolen firearms.
CoreCivic
A for-profit prison corporation that is financially motivated to increase incarceration numbers should not have the ability to lobby or financially contribute in any way to elected leaders and candidates. I don't believe that the for-profit industry should exist at all, but we need to start somewhere.
